The nearest airport is London Stansted, which is 30 minutes from Cambridge by train. Cambridge is also well served by trains from London Kings Cross. The Institute of Astronomy (IoA) is to the northwest of the city centre, but can be reached either by taxi or by bus (this involves changing buses in the city centre - many buses run from the rail station to the centre of town, and the Uni 4 or citi 4 stop near the IoA).

Some hotels in Cambridge can be found here:, the postcode of the IoA is CB3 0HA to check proximity of the hotels.

The Arundel House hotel the Cambridge Lodge Hotel and the Benson House guest house are all fairly close to the IoA. We also have limited rooms at the IoA site which might be available on request.
